personally related to me some years ago by + His Eminence Archbishop
Chrysostomos of Blessed Memory, Etna CA
His Eminence was
invited to attend a symposium on the worship of God. He was not one of
the speakers.
After several speeches, the host approached the Archbishop directly with the following question: , "In Orthodoxy, is God worshipped?"
Of course, His Eminence responded but added: 'As Orthodox Christians, we do more than worship.'
Puzzled, the host inquired further and was offered the following: 'We also Commune with God.'

Our gratitude for our Savior's Gift of His Precious Body and Blood is clearly expressed in the prescribed prayers following the reception of Holy Communion.
